As Reed Turkey, we are looking for an "Manufacturing Technology Expert – Plastics" with the below requirements for our international manufacturing client.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support Festo's global production network as a technical expert for plastics processing technologies.
  • Drive process optimization initiatives to improve quality, productivity, and manufacturing performance.
  • Support the introduction of new technologies, production transfers, and industrialization activities at international production sites.
  • Collaborate with product development, toolmaking, and production teams to ensure manufacturable and robust plastic component designs.
  • Provide technical guidance on material selection and plastic-related design requirements.
  • Conduct injection molding simulations and support design and process optimization activities.
  • Define and implement standards for plastics processing and tool technologies across the global production network.
  • Support root cause analysis and sustainable resolution of quality issues in plastics production. [
  • Collaborate with material suppliers, machine manufacturers, and internal stakeholders on technology development projects.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing, training, and best practice transfer across international production sites. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Plastics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable engineering discipline.
  • 5-7 years of experience in plastics processing technologies, preferably injection molding.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in Production Engineering, Production Planning, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Experience collaborating with product development teams on component design and material selection.
  • Knowledge of plastic materials, processing technologies, and manufacturing processes. 
  • Experience with injection molding simulation software.
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Willingness to work in an international environment and travel when required.

 

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience with Moldex3D or similar simulation tools.
  • Knowledge of extrusion technologies.
  • Experience in toolmaking or injection mold design projects.
  • Knowledge of finite element analysis (FEA) and coupled simulation approaches.
  • Experience working with SAP in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working in an international production network.
