As Reed Turkey, we are looking for a "Chief Agronomist" with below requirements for our multinational client.
Job Description
- Manage agricultural practices within the framework of Sustainable Tobacco Production (STP), Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), and Agricultural Labor Practices (ALP).
- Prepare, implement, and monitor action plans related to the Sustainable Tobacco Program (STP).
- Provide training and guidance to field technicians on STP standards and requirements.
- Monitor developments and innovations in the agricultural sector and ensure their effective implementation.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve agronomy programs in line with objectives and customer expectations.
- Collaborate with the Agronomy team to monitor the progress of program activities, evaluate performance, and prepare regular reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering or Agricultural Sciences, preferably specializing in Field Crops, Plant Protection, or Soil Science.
- Advanced proficiency in English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong knowledge of tobacco production and cultivation practices.
- Solid understanding of agricultural crop production.
- Knowledge of advanced cultivation techniques.
- Knowledge of agricultural equipment management.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sustainable agriculture.
